Based on faculty demand and a recommendation from the Faculty
Development Coordinating Council, the Center for Instructional
Development (CID) was established under the Vice President of
Academic Affairs in August 1998. The goals of the Center are:
- support faculty in the use of software and multimedia tools
- enhance instruction through the development of online courses
- build community among academic support units
- explore new technologies for instruction
- model pedagogical principles
The current initiatives of the Center include:
The Center also offers a variety of instructional
services and provides access to "cutting edge"
equipment
and software.
