Diversity Programs
In accordance
with Board of Regents’ policy stated in Section
2.23
Minority Advising Program of the
Academic Affairs Handbook, Clayton State University has established the Minority Advisement Program (MAP).
This program is designed to ensure that the University
initiates and maintains a special effort to make minority students
feel welcome on campus and to improve their chances for academic
success. Academic
advising is only part of the overall MAP undertaking, which also
involves retention and enrichment activities conducted by the Office
of Diversity & Disability Services.
The academic advising component of the MAP program is a
supplement to and not a replacement for regular advising (Faculty
Manual section 410.04.02). The Diversity Programs and Disability
Services office is located in Room 214 in the Student Center. For
more information, contact Deborah
Greer, Director, at 770.961.3719.
