Student Technology Assistants

Student Technology Assistants (STAs) are paid student workers who provide software and multimedia services for faculty. Some of the services they can provide include:

  • scanning images or text
  • taking digital photos
  • editing webpages
  • posting material to WebCT
  • creating PowerPoint presentations
  • creating Excel spreadsheet
  • developing Access databases
  • converting Word documents to html
  • converting documents to Acrobat pdf files
  • burning CD-ROMs
  • streaming media

The Student Technology Assistants do not provide hardware support.  Please contact The HUB for any hardware related issues.

STAs are located in the Center for Instructional Development. Requests for appointments can be made online, by calling (678) 466-4190, or drop-in assistance is available during scheduled hours.
