Mark your calendars for the seventh annual Georgia College Testing
Association (GCTA) conference, to be held Thursday and Friday, May
15-16, 2008, at the Center for Continuing
Education Conference Center and Hotel in Athens, Georgia.
All
testing
professionals are
invited; dress is casual.
Your board is planning many interesting presentations
along with two concurrent sessions for technical schools and Board
of Regents schools to discuss current issues.
More information will be posted to this website as time goes closer.
This is our fourth two-day conference, and travel time will be allotted
for Thursday morning and Friday afternoon. We will be staying
at the Center for Continuing Education Conference Center & Hotel; see their website:

A block of rooms is reserved for the GCTA for both Wednesday, May
14, and Thursday, May 15, and will be available soon until Monday, April 21, 2008.
Remember to bring
your Georgia tax exempt form when you come.
The $50 early bird registration will open soon and
should be done by Monday, April 21, 2007.
The fee for registration is $65 from April 22-May 9, and late
registration May 10 and after is $75. Registration covers the cost of the meeting
including Thursday brunch and reception and Friday breakfast.
Frank Potter, Principal Consultant, ACT, will be
presenting his annual COMPASS Workshop at Athens Technical
College
on Wednesday, May 14, 2008. He will soon send his information to

GCTA in Review--Past Attractions
The first annual GCTA was held at Clayton State University in Morrow on
Friday, May 20, 2002. The second annual GCTA was held at Gordon
College in Barnesville May 30, 2003.
The 2004 meeting was held at Gwinnett Technical College
in Lawrenceville. The first two-day 2005 meeting was held at Armstrong
Atlantic State University and Savannah State University in Savannah.
The University of Georgia in Athens' Georgia Center hosted the
second two-day
meeting in 2006. The 2007 two-day meeting was held at Columbus
State University in Columbus.
GCTA--Future Attractions
The eighth annual GCTA meeting is
planned for May 14-15, 2009, at the Jekyll Oceanfront Resort on
Jekyll Island.

The Georgia College Testing Association is affiliated
with the National College Testing Association (NCTA). For detailed
